Biography:

Black Lantern Flash, a terrifying figure from the DC Comic event "Blackest Night," first appeared in Blackest Night #1 (2009). He is not the Flash himself, but rather a corrupted, undead version animated by a Black Lantern ring.

During "Blackest Night," Nekron, the embodiment of death, sought to extinguish all life. Fallen heroes and villains were resurrected as Black Lanterns, fueled by negative emotions. The deceased Flash, Barry Allen, became one of these undead members of the Black Lantern Corps.

This Black Lantern Flash retained Barry Allen's appearance and speed, but with decaying features and a black ring. His purpose was to inflict emotional pain on the living, drawing power from their grief and despair to bolster the Black Lantern Corps and further Nekron's agenda.
